The Training Event
(June 24)
The first day is all about sharing with you the tactics, strategies, and mindsets to make you a profitable networker. You will not just learn but practice the skills you will use over the next two days to build profitable connections.
The Networking Event
(June 25-26)
The core of the event is directed breakout sessions, in which you will have the opportunity to connect with many great people and determine who is most valuable to follow up with.
How It Works
What makes JV Connect different is the unique structure. Let’s take a look at some of the details that make the magic.
No pitches, no speeches – There are no presentations, trainings, or lengthy offers made at this event. The longest we ever speak that’s not a networking activity is 5 minute explainers or 3 minute sponsor spots. So it’s all connecting, all the time.
8 Second Introduction – We use a special 8 second introduction format. It’s just long enough to let people know what you do and get curious, but not so long that they get bored, and it leaves time for more powerful conversation.
Unique breakout format – Each day, we have about 9 breakout sessions. They are 23 minutes long with 11 to 15 people in each one. Each breakout has a theme, such as helping each other to find stages or ‘what is working now?’ They are not a place for attendees to just repeat their pitch. Rather, it’s a time for productive conversation and sharing.
Masterminding – At past events, members started supporting, coaching, and mentoring each other in the breakout rooms, so we formalized it into actual mastermind hotseats. People connect at a deeper level when they support each other, creating much deeper connections than a typical networking event.

Michael Whitehouse is The Guy Who Knows a Guy. In 2014, he came to Groton, Connecticut knowing no one at all. A year later, after jumping into networking with both feet, he was a major connector in the local community. In 2020, he went global and began connecting entrepreneurs, investors, speakers and others around the world to people they need to know.
